An Exercise In Bad Marketing

This looks boring. Granted I'm not the target audience. The closest I've ever ever come to this show was when I tried and failed to watch a single episode from beginning to end. Was the series anything like this trailer, which is probably the slowest paced and most boring I've ever seen?

If so, why is it a pop cultural landmark? For the most part we as a society do not give women enough credit. And sometimes we give them wayyyyyyy too much.
